Double Nickel Sportster

I try not to steel content from other blogs but this was just too badass to ignore. Many of us, myself included, who love custom bikes also share an affinity for old cars & hot rods. Every once in a while someone does something to combine elements of both in a very subtle, yet still awesome way. Enter this '79 Ironhead built by the Del Prado brothers out of Arizona. If you look closely at the rear wheel you'll notice that it's actually a re purposed 15" steely hot rod wheel with an old school Hoosier drag tire. “A ton of work went into this wheel”

“The original Harley hub had to be machined, and then precision welded into the car wheel. We kept it to within 15-thousands of true, and used a sprocket/rotor combo to expose the left side of the near-chrome powder coat.”
