Photographer Dirk “The Pixeleye” Behlau & acclaimed Pinstriper, Jesper Bram have teamed up to bring the World “Flake & Flames”, a film that is sure to be the definitive document of the Kustom subculture. Dirk & Chris spent an entire year traveling the globe collecting stories from the world’s foremost car and motorcycle builders, tattoo artists, pinstripers, custom painters and pin-up models, picking the brains of both living legends & new comers alike. I hope this film gives people a real appreciation for this culture as being something that isn’t just a passing fad or a silly obsession with things that are loud, shiny & fast, but a real culture, tradition & lifestyle that's been around for almost a century.
